We are looking for a Chief Finance Officer to join us at an exciting time for Staffordshire Police. We have ambitions plans to improve how we operate so that we can better police the communities we serve and to do that, in challenging financial times, we are undergoing a wide-ranging transformation programme.
Reporting to the Director of People and Resources, you’ll join a new directorate providing enabling services across the force. You’ll be our most senior accountant, taking on the statutory responsibility of Section 151 Officer, ensuring effective financial scrutiny of all of the force’s activities and commissioned services, and building and maintaining effective relationships with our key partners both locally and nationally.
You’ll need first class leadership skills with experience of building a team where people can flourish, and will of course need to be a member of one of the CCAB bodies, preferably CIPFA. You’ll have experience of managing significant budgets, maximising value for money, and innovating to deliver improved strategic outcomes.
