Job Description

The purpose of this post is to conduct Neuroimaging Clinical Research for the iMarkHD study, which is a highly prestigious research programme in Huntington’s disease funded by the CHDI Foundation (USA). The study involves detailed clinical and neuropsychological assessments, PET and MR imaging, and data analyses in patients with Huntington’s disease.

The Clinical Research Fellow will work in the Neurodegeneration Imaging Group (NIG) ( , and will recruit and retain participants, collect blood samples, perform screening and clinical assessments, perform PET and MR imaging scans, and analyse clinical and imaging data. He/she will be attending clinics and will be responsible for organisational aspects of the project. He/she will write articles for publications and present data in national and international congresses.

We are looking for medically qualified candidate with full GMC registration and a licence to practice (by the start date for international candidates) with previous experience in patients with Neurological/Neurodegenerative disorders. Previous experience in neuroimaging research is desirable but not essential.

The salary will be paid at the Clinical Research Fellow grade £31,931 to £42,399 per annum, plus £2,162 per annum London Allowance.

This post will be Fixed Term Contract for 2 years.

This is a Full-time 100% full time equivalent.

The selection process will include competency based questions, a presentation and a panel based interview.
