The role involves engagement with an exciting range of modules comprising taught laboratory classes and projects for undergraduate students. You will be expected to bring expertise in laboratory management, people management, idea generation, innovation and health and safety to the role. The post holder would be expected to demonstrate an entrepreneurial approach to detailed design and prototyping and laboratory operations within the higher education sector and to develop and foster various inter-team relationships.
It is essential that you have a degree in Chemistry and it is desirable to have completed a PhD or completed equivalent vocational qualifications. You will have significant experience in chemistry laboratories and with teams of people with a wide range of skills.
The post-holder will be expected to have a good level of IT literacy, particularly with standard packages such as MS Office.
