This candidate would be responsible for the delivery of a high standard of beverage service in a fast paced catering environment. This is a key position where you will be an integral part of the success of the business. Together with the rest of the Event Operations team you will supervise and grow the business. You need to be highly motivated, with a passion for good service, and a great personality and the ability to work well under pressure.
You will be responsible for beverage service of multiple style events ranging from cocktail receptions to weddings in various buildings across the University. You will supervise the daily operations of two bars with seasonal operating hours.
Key success criteria will include: (but are not limited to)
– The development of the beverage service team and standard operating procedures.
– Stock control
– Adherence to cash handling procedures.
– Development of our beverage offering.
– Leading by example and coaching teams and individuals
Good people management, administrative and organisational skills are essential, as is the ability to engage positively with customers and motivate staff to deliver excellence in beverage quality, presentation and service. Experience from a variety of different catering operations and volume is desirable. Experience of a supervisory role in the hospitality industry is essential.
You must ensure compliance with all aspects of health and safety and food hygiene standards and adherence to the relevant legislation, as well as the University’s codes of practice.
