The University of Gloucestershire has an ambitious vision for the development of Oxstalls Sports Park to not only provide a first class student sport and physical activity experience but also boost culture, vibrancy and community in Gloucester. The proposed new sports facilities for 2018 will offer a dual use community and sports facility to benefit a wide range of sports teams along with promoting the health and wellbeing of individuals within the university and local community. Plans to host major international events and develop a centre of excellence for sport development are already a feature of the ambitions looking ahead. The university are shaping the sport department to further support the university student sport teams and the health and wellbeing of both students and staff. The notion of developing the sport and physical activity offer with, for and by the students indicates our commitment to the co-curricular experiences of all who study at the university whilst simultaneously offering opportunities to develop employability skills.

A vacancy exists for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to contribute to the student sport, health and wellbeing programme of activity. This is an exciting new position working for a newly appointed Sport and Physical Activity Manager, who has ambitious plans to move provision to even higher levels, reflecting the university vision and strategic goals leading to a first class student experience.
