This June is Pride Month and London Met has planned a host of events to celebrate. In the lead-up to London Pride Parade on 2 July 2022 there will be barbecues, brunches, film screenings, roundtables and more!
Pride Month is an annual celebration that takes place during the month of June, to mark the anniversary of the Stonewall riots in New York, June 1969. As well as a celebration, Pride presents an opportunity to protest, raise awareness, create discussion, and support people and communities. Pride Month acts as a reminder of how much more still needs to change to ensure that LGBTQIA+ are supported and included. The events are a celebration of diversity as well as recognition of the rights fought for by LGBTQIA+ communities in London, and across the world.
This year, we invite you to join us for the "Road to Pride" picnic at London Metropolitan University, brought to you by the Centre for Equity and Inclusion. Celebrate diversity, unity, and LGBTQ+ pride in a safe and welcoming space.
Embrace the vibrant spirit of Pride as you enjoy a day filled with laughter, music, and delicious food.
Respect and inclusivity are paramount at our event.
