Apprentice Support Worker

Job Description

As an apprentice you will have a great opportunity to gain a Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care (Learning Disability Pathway), whilst gaining vital on the job experience. We will support you through dedicated learning time, guidance from a buddy and quality job experience.

As a support worker you would be supporting people who have a learning disability and complex health or behavioural need, who live in their own home. The people we support need specialist care 24 hours a day to support them to live the life they choose. This involves all aspects of daily living, which includes personal care, domestic tasks e.g. bathing, cooking, cleaning and supporting people with hobbies, leisure and relaxation.

You would be required to undertake shift work (earlies, lates, nights, weekends and public holidays); enhancements are paid for unsociable hours.

The Trust currently pays a non-consolidated supplement in order that all our staff receive the equivalent of the Living Wage Foundation Rate.
