Construction Manager - Building Projects
Location: Norfolk
Salary: Up to 70k
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee site operations on a section or full project, depending on size and complexity. You will ensure construction activities are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the required quality and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and manage day-to-day site operations to safe completion
- Supervise subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring RAMS are approved and followed
- Develop short-term site plans aligned with the project programme
- Ensure works comply with drawings, specifications, and best practice
- Manage site records, reporting, and change control documentation
- Control costs, materials, plant, and subcontractor resources
- Drive quality standards, stopping and correcting sub-standard work
- Lead health & safety compliance, site inspections, welfare, and PUWER checks
- Conduct regular progress meetings and update programmes
- Liaise with clients, end users, and neighbours to manage expectations
About You
- Proven experience as a Construction Manager on building projects
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Excellent knowledge of health & safety, quality, and site controls
- Confident managing subcontractors and resolving site issues
- Ability to work autonomously and deliver against programme targets
