Deputy Stage 2 Lead (KUMEC)

Job Description

We are looking for a GP educator to work as the Deputy Lead for our longitudinal Stage 2 GP placement. This is a highly innovative and immersive placement taking place in the students’ second year of study and comprising of one day per week in their GP placement throughout the course of the academic year. This is complemented by six campus days throughout the year which tie together key themes from the programme. The programme is in its first year of delivery, with an active research evaluation process being undertaken and opportunities for ongoing refinement.

The role involves assisting the KUMEC Stage 2 Lead in delivery of the programme, evaluation, quality assurance and curriculum development. The post holder will require strong teamworking skills and will work closely with the wider KUMEC Stage 2 team. This post would be appropriate for someone with prior teaching experience and an interest in expanding on this to develop a career in medical education.

The selection process will include a panel interview including a presentation. Interviews will be taking place on 17 May 2018.

This is a part time post (2 days a week, 4 sessions, 14 hours per week).
