Job Description

Research in Practice works with organisations across child and family and adult services, supporting them to develop evidence-informed approaches to workforce, organisation and system development.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced person to lead our work on evaluation and primary research, heading up a core team working to produce high quality, mixed methods evaluative projects. Your work will complement and enhance the wider Research in Practice project to build evidence informed working with children, young people, families and adults. You will bring

  • Expertise in the use of qualitative and quantitative methods for multi-method projects of a range of sizes and complexity. Experience in relation to the social care sector for children and families or adults an advantage.
  • Experience of applied qualitative and quantitative approaches, with expertise in the use of administrative data an advantage.
  • A commitment to leading and developing a high performing team to produce high quality and practically useful research.

Location Dartington, Sheffield or Remote from within UK

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

We work with clients across England and Wales from our main office in Dartington, Devon and a satellite office in Sheffield. Candidates can apply to work in either location, and working virtually from other locations within the UK would also be an option for the right candidate.
