Overview
The Centre for International Research on Care, Labour and Equalities (CIRCLE) hosts the IMPACT Networks, part of the Adult Social Care Implementation Centre. We're linked to a network of national and international academic and care sector partners. In studying care, we focus on support, services and protections to promote the wellbeing of vulnerable or disabled people of all ages, and the networks, communities and systems that affect them.
We are looking for someone to support the IMPACT Networks with dissemination of their findings, through established and innovative routes. You'll have experience in creative and digital communications, video and/or podcast production and in working collaboratively with research professionals, academics and people with lived experience in the dissemination of research. You will develop, implement and monitor the IMPACT Networks communications strategy, and use and develop your own set of skills in the creation of outputs using various software and techniques.
This role is for 3 days per week (or equivalent) until December 2027.
Main duties and responsibilities
Plan, create and deliver digital outputs with the IMPACT Network teams, including videos, graphics, animations and podcasts - this will include working closely with stakeholders from across adult social care, in policy and practice and people with lived experience
Have experience of specialist software such as the Adobe suite, and the ability to project manage creative communications outputs
Be able to adapt their own set of skills in the creation of outputs using software, techniques, etc that they might be unfamiliar with
Create innovative communications materials arising from evidence reviews and other reports such as animations, etc
Develop and implement the IMPACT Networks communications strategy
Source and edit appropriate images for use on the website and social media channels
Monitor web and social media performance through site analytics tools (Google Analytics, Facebook analytics, YouTube analytics etc), creating or contributing to evaluation reports as required
Monitor news items from partner organisations, for sharing on social media and in the external newsletter
Support the IMPACT team at ad hoc events e.g sharing posts in real time on social media
Have delegated responsibility for the Network communications budget
Carry out other duties, commensurate with the grade and remit of the post.

Essential criteria
Experience of advising upon and implementing a communications strategy for multiple audiences, in line with wider objectives and University/ESRC strategies, on multiple platforms such as websites, social media and newsletters. (Interview / Application / Test)
Experience of planning, creating and delivering creative and digital outputs, including videos and podcasts, working with stakeholders and people with lived experience in their production. (Interview / Application)
Experience of managing delegated budgets. (Interview / Application)
Experience of specialist software such as the Adobe suite, and the ability to project manage creative communications outputs. (Interview / Application)
Knowledge of how to manage social media platforms and other communications channels and techniques effectively to reach specific audiences. (Interview / Application / Test)
Excellent IT knowledge and skills, with experience using Microsoft Office packages, Google packages including analytics, and social media. (Application)

Experience of building and managing professional relationships with a variety of stakeholders including academic, research and professional services staff. (Interview / Application)
