Job Description

ImpactEd is an award-winning social enterprise that exists to help evaluate, understand and improve impact in education.

In our education system, we invest huge amounts of time, money and energy in different programmes and interventions to improve outcomes for pupils. Yet far too often, we don’t know what is working – and what isn’t. We exist to address this evaluation deficit, helping schools and those working with them to better understand what is working to make a difference to the lives of young people. We do this through a combination of hands-on partnership, training and consultancy, and our digital platform which makes monitoring and evaluation quicker, easier and more effective.

ImpactEd’s new strategy outlines a two-fold commitment to systemic impact through enabling our partners to make better decisions on behalf of children, and empowering our team to make effective decisions on behalf of the organisation.

The Operations Officer sits within our Operations and Product team and will support operations functions across the team. This role will play an important part in supporting the development of the operations and employee experience functions for our growing company - with a particular focus on people processes, and internal and external communications.

This role is a new opportunity for someone who is comfortable operating as an organisational generalist, and would be excited by having a broad exposure to a range of responsibilities across a fast growing social enterprise.

Working with the Head of Operations you will:

  • Support the roll out of employee experience initiatives
  • Coordinate recruitment and onboarding processes
  • Oversee our social media accounts and help operationalise our marketing calendar
  • Manage wider team events and communications

We are looking for some of the following attributes- as this is a generalist role, you might be more experienced in some areas than others.

We would encourage you to apply if you meet some but not all of the attributes below:

  • Experience of effective project management (Important)
  • Experience of diary and organisational process management (Important)
  • Interest or experience of communications or marketing (Desirable)
  • Interest or experience within learning and development (Desirable)

As well as this, you are likely to be most successful in the role if you have exceptional attention to detail, communicate clearly , and share our intellectual curiosity and desire to learn rapidly.
