Job Description

We are looking to appoint two motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our Radiology Appointments Team to the track patients on a 28 day faster diagnosis pathway. The role will act as the first point of call for every transaction between Radiology and patients for the booking of diagnostic investigations in an informed manner, ensuring patients are given accessible information, choice and are provided with elective services according to NHS Cancer Waiting Time targets. The post holder will receive, register, triage and book two week wait suspected cancer patient referrals.

Applicants should have a good level of education ( 5 GCSE grades A – C or equivalent Customer Service NVQ Level 3) and good IT skills. An understanding of medical terminology is essential. Previous NHS experience would be advantageous. The ability to work with concentration and accuracy and to liaise with staff at all levels is also required. The post holder will be expected to work alone with minimal supervision, but will also work closely with the Leads Appointment’s Co-ordinator.

5 GCSEs grade a-c or equivalent Customer Service NVQ Level 3
2 years administration and / or customer service experience gained within a healthcare environment.
