An opportunity has arisen within the University Library to join the Content Delivery and Copyright team, supporting the Reading List team. 

The University Library plays a key role in learning and research at Northumbria developing and delivering a wide range of services aligned to the University's Corporate Strategy. We continue to achieve high levels of student satisfaction and have achieved joint first position as highest scoring academic library in the Times Higher Education student experience survey. We have also held the Cabinet Office accreditation for Customer Service Excellence since 2010.

As part of the Reading List team in the University Library, you will be delivering a high quality online reading list service that meets student expectations and supports their learning. You will select and acquire, applying business rules, materials in appropriate formats (print, electronic, digitised material) liaising with suppliers to provision reading lists and other resource requests. You will digitise and make available key book chapters, journal articles and other content for inclusion in the reading list service ensuring compliance with the CLA licence and other rights holders. You will also provide support, guidance and training to academic staff in the creation and maintenance of online reading lists working with other teams in the University Library and wider Academic Services to ensure this support is integrated.

A working knowledge of relevant library systems, equipment, processes and procedures including standard software packages is essential. You will also have a track record of being an effective team member with the ability to maintain good working relationships with colleagues, internally and externally. A commitment to delivering excellent customer service is also required.
