Research Associate
Job Description
Applications are invited for a Research Associate in the School of Mathematics and Statistics. You will be working with Prof. Evgeny Shinder, on a project which covers key themes such as birational maps, singularities, motives, log geometry and derived categories.
You will have a broad knowledge of algebraic geometry, and particular expertise in one of the topics relevant to the project.
You will have a PhD (or equivalent experience) in pure mathematics, or be close
to completion. Expertise in algebraic geometry, ideally including Cremona groups, or Derived categories is also essential.
