Senior Accounts Clerk (Pensions Administration Section)

Job Description

A fixed term 12 month opportunity has arisen for a Senior Accounts Clerk in the Pensions Section which is based within the Finance Division at Greenwich House.

The successful candidate will be responsible for all the accounting functions for the Cambridge University Assistants’ Contributory Pension Scheme, the Cambridge Colleges Federated Pension Scheme and the Cambridge University Press Pension Schemes including monthly reconciliations, preparation of draft scheme accounts and the running of the interfaces received from approximately 30 payrolls.
The candidate will be able to work to tight deadlines, prioritise their own work with minimum supervision. Candidates will need to have previous accounting experience excellent organisational and communication skills and be IT literate.

In addition, applicants should be able to demonstrate the ability to deal with all levels of staff and visitors with diplomacy and tact, and will possess good time management skills, the ability to use their own initiative and be willing to work flexibly.

Temporary cover: This post is fixed-term for 12 months or the return of the post holder, whichever is the earlier.
Once an offer of employment has been accepted, the successful candidate will be required to undergo a basic disclosure (criminal records check) check, a health assessment and a security check.
