Senior Lecturer in Construction Management and Project Management for Construction

Job Description

We are looking to appoint a Senior Lecturer with expertise in Construction Management / Project Management for Construction to join our staff team in the Built Environment Subject Area.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have a track record of professional expertise/research and knowledge of with a comprehensive knowledge Construction Management / Project Management for Construction and its application to the building design, construction, delivery and post-occupancy processes.
  • Hold full membership with CIOB or equivalent PSRB or close to achieving it. 
  • Have completed, or be near to completing, a PhD.
  • Have a high-quality professional practice/research profile (consistent with career stage) and evidence supporting the potential to develop externally funded consultancy/research programmes. 

Essential to this post is a commitment to high quality learning and teaching across all levels of Higher Education. A significant proportion of our Built Environment degree programmes are team-taught, making an ability to work flexibly as an individual and team member essential.

As the successful applicant, you will become a member of the Construction Engineering and Management (ConEM) Research Group, and will have access to world class laboratories and field equipment within the school. The school is particularly keen to appoint lecturers who are research active to support future REF (Research Excellence Framework) submission. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to other research and consultancy areas across the school. If appropriate, you will be supported to gain an accredited UK teaching qualification.
