This is a great opportunity to join the UK Committee for UNICEF (UNICEF UK) as Senior UK Policy Adviser (Child Poverty and Inequality).
You’ll be joining at an exciting time for our UK Policy and Advocacy team, as we get ready to launch a new UK advocacy campaign focused on early years, which you will have an active role in shaping and delivering, including helping us to explore how we engage effectively with marginalised groups
You will lead our policy work focusing on child poverty and inequalities, with an emphasis on breaking cycles of poverty in early childhood. It will require working closely with mental health and education focused colleagues, in our larger UK Policy Team and across the Advocacy and Programmes Departments.
Having an in-depth understanding of policy-making processes and how to develop effective influencing strategies will be needed to achieve success in this role. You will have excellent research and writing skills and a good understanding of the policy context of child poverty and/or other UK child wellbeing topic areas.
