We are looking for a dynamic and motivated team player to take up the role of Service Manager within Ophthalmology and Pain services at Whipps Cross Hospital. As part of the triumvirate leadership team, the post-holder will be responsible for ensuring the safe, high quality, efficient and financially sustainable delivery of their services.
The Ophthalmology and pain is a high performing team; delivering high quality care. You will be fundamental to the delivery of care to over 1,000 patients a week; through the Eye Treatment Centre, a standalone specialist area consisting of Outpatient, diagnostic and operating theatres which the post holder will be operationally responsible for ensuring safe and efficient services are delivered on a day to day basis.
The post-holder will be a key member of the leadership team in their service areas, working collaboratively across a fast-paced, dynamic department. The candidate will be joining a friendly and ambitious team committed to triumvirate working, continuous improvement and high quality patient care.
- The successful candidate will need to demonstrate:
- Recent experience of leading a multi-disciplinary team;
- Extensive knowledge of operational management;
- A track record of delivering successful service improvement;
- Robust budget management skills; and
- A positive, engaging and driven character.
