Stewardship Manager
Job Description
New opportunity: Stewardship Manager
Are you a strong communicator who understands the value of the customer experience? Could you use your excellent writing skills and warm, engaging personality to help raise money for some of society’s most pressing challenges? If so, we’d love to hear from you.
This is a brand-new role in Campaigns and Alumni Relations (CAR) - the department responsible for fundraising and graduate engagement at the University of Sheffield. Donations from our alumni (former students) reduce financial barriers faced by students and accelerate research that’s bringing about real change, from break-through treatments for devastating neurological conditions, to global projects improving lives for refugees.
As Stewardship Manager, you will grow and shape a programme of high-quality donor relations that ensures our most generous supporters feel recognised, informed, and motivated to support us again. You will draw on best practice to create an effective system of impact reporting that maximises donor satisfaction and encourages repeat giving.
You will be a team player who has a strong attention to detail and is comfortable taking a flexible approach to changing circumstances. You will work in partnership with fundraising leads, adopting a proactive approach and implementing new ideas. Your stewardship will be insightful and creative, meeting and exceeding our donors’ expectations.
There’s never been a better time to join us in this varied and dynamic role. We have ambitious targets over the next few years and we need the right people to help us meet them.
We are one of the best not-for-profit organisations to work for in the UK.
Your benefits will include:
● 41 days annual leave (including closure days and Bank Holidays), with the possibility to purchase up to ten additional days.
● Up to 5 days of paid time off to cover emergency caring responsibilities.
● A highly competitive pension scheme.
● Discounts at participating shops and cinemas, and a cycle to work scheme.
● Personal development opportunities, with programmes, learning modules and mentoring schemes.
● A commitment to exploring flexible working opportunities which will benefit you and University.
