Team Leader - Hospital Social Work Services

Salary: £52,373 - £62,685
Hours: 36 per week
We are looking to recruit a highly motivated and enthusiastic Team Leader to support our Assessment and Care Management Social Work teams based in hospital settings.
The HSCP has undergone a significant management re-structure which has aligned the delivery into service areas. We have been able to review the management arrangements that we require for the challenges of the future and we recognise the need to provide our teams with additional leadership support and management capacity. This is an exciting time for the service as continue take forward a range of improvements designed to provide better outcomes for people, but also create a positive place to work. Team Leaders will provide a pivotal role in ensuring that we are able to deliver the ambitions that we have and ensuring that teams are well supported in their roles.
You must be a social worker registered with the SSSC with the necessary experience and skills to lead teams.
You should have considerable experience of providing leadership, professional support and supervision to staff.
You should have a sound understanding of the principles and practice of which promotes independence and choice.
You should demonstrate an ability to make complex, contentious decisions and communicate them effectively and sensitively, managing any conflict that may arise.
An understanding of the governance and assurance mechanisms within which the HSCP operates is desirable.
This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
