Trainee Counsellor

Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity within our Student Mental Health, Counselling and Therapies service for a trainee counsellor/psychotherapist in their final year of an MA, MSc, or BA in Counselling or psychotherapy. The successful applicant will join a welcoming and experienced team, dedicated to supporting a diverse student population with their mental health and psychological well-being as they pursue their life, academic and career goals.

The role will include offering psychological assessments, and time limited counselling or psychotherapy, which will provide the required clinical hours and valuable experience to achieve accreditation or registration with the BACP or UKCP.

The post holder will need to possess excellent communication and therapy skills, be able to work collaboratively, have a willingness to actively engage with various key stakeholders, and be committed to contributing to the Counselling and Therapies service and wellbeing of our student population for the duration of the fixed term period.
