Job Description

You will join the School of Allied Health Professions, Nursing and Midwifery, working as a University Teacher with Dr Sarah Spencer, Senior Lecturer, as part of the Women Academic Returners Programme (WARP).

We seek candidates with teaching experience in speech and language therapy or a related discipline such as psychology or education. You will play a role in delivering and enhancing teaching by contributing to the taught postgraduate and undergraduate degree programmes. You will contribute to teaching on the BMedSci and MMedSci Speech and Language Therapy degree programmes as well as students on the Apprenticeship programme. You will contribute to teaching in the following subjects: children’s speech, language and communication needs, literacy development and supporting special educational needs in schools. Other duties will include student engagement, admissions and student support. You will contribute to the strategic teaching objectives of the School of Allied Health Professions, Nursing and Midwifery and the wider University with the aim to deliver an outstanding student experience.
