Job Description

To act in the provision of a comprehensive legal service to the Chief Constables, the OPCCs, and officers and police staff generally of both Devon & Cornwall and Dorset Police Forces. In particular, to:.-
• Act as a ‘frontline’ lawyer, working alongside officers and staff to proactively seek opportunities for and advise upon the full range of civil preventative orders available for Police Forces.
• Analyse information and intelligence to identify legal opportunities to protect the vulnerable and safeguard communities.
• Promote the use of civil preventative orders.
• Work closely with officers and staff to develop legally sound evidence and Court material.
