Workshop Curriculum Manager
Job Description
We are looking to appoint an innovative and passionate Workshop Curriculum Manager as part of the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre Training Centre Team.
You will lead our Workshop teaching team; the design, development and delivery of our curriculum; manage a team of teaching staff and contribute to the delivery of high-quality teaching of knowledge, skills and behaviours on our apprenticeship programmes. You will also be responsible for the development and delivery of a commercial skills training portfolio to meet the needs of industry.
You will:
• Be educated to degree level or equivalent with a teaching qualification at a minimum of L4 or equivalent.
• Be a holder of a professional vocational qualification to at least L3 in Management and/or extensive experience in leading a delivery team.
• Be a holder of an assessor and IQA qualification with experience in completing IQA activities and working with awarding body EQAs.
• Have Experience of managing, motivating high performance in others and communicating with a team of staff, including overall coordination of work, mentoring, planning and scheduling the work of the team (including timetabling), identifying training needs and managing staff performance.
As part of the Centre’s management team you will be required to work with colleagues across all teams to ensure that the pastoral needs of students are met, and that timetabling, scheduling, and communication to students and employers takes place in a timely manner.
The Workshop Curriculum Manager will be expected to support enrichment activities and any Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths events to promote the AMRC Training Centre. Some of these will be out of normal working hours.
