Marketing and Communications Officer

Job Description

We are looking for a creative individual to join our team in Corporate Communications, where you'll play a pivotal role in building the University's reputation with external audiences.

In this varied and dynamic role, you will support the University's top research centres in enhancing their reputation among key stakeholders, including policymakers, funders, industrial partners, and the global research community. Collaborating closely with academics, you'll gain insight into their communication needs and goals, utilising your presentation and negotiation skills to recommend marketing strategies aligned with the University's brand and style guidelines.

As an experienced and adept copywriter, you'll excel in translating technical information into engaging marketing content across various platforms, both digital and print. Your expertise in briefing designers, photographers, and videographers will be instrumental in producing targeted marketing assets tailored to specific audiences.
Working with the wider Corporate Communications team, you'll identify opportunities to elevate the University's profile for reputational gain, and design campaigns to maximise these opportunities. From initial planning to final evaluation, you'll oversee all aspects of campaign management, including content creation, budgeting, and performance tracking.
