Research Assistant (Speech and Language Therapy)

Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity in the School of Allied Health Professions, Nursing and Midwifery working into Professor Judy Clegg’s and Dr Sarah Spencer’s programme of research.
The research programme includes evaluations of speech, language and communication interventions for children, designing intervention programmes for children and young people with learning disabilities and understanding the lived experiences of vulnerable children and young people with speech, language and communication differences.
You will work with Professor Clegg and Dr Sarah Spencer to collate and analyse data from this research programme to prepare publications to submit to peer reviewed journals and to contribute to research funding applications. You will also work with Professor Clegg and Dr Sarah Spencer to support research related activity, teaching and other duties. The post is based in the School of Allied Health Professions, Nursing & Midwifery.
You will have an internationally recognised qualification in speech and language therapy, and registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
