This new role provides an exciting opportunity for a recent Keele graduate to gain direct experience of working within the professional support services at the University. You will be based within the Planning and Academic Administration directorate, which is responsible for supporting the student experience at Keele from admission to graduation, and for providing high-quality advice and support to the University’s academic community. This post will enable the successful candidate to cultivate an in-depth knowledge of University operations, and to develop a skill-set that will provide a strong foundation for a future career in Higher Education and/or public administration.
You will be working directly to the Director of Planning and Academic Administration, with her senior management team and with colleagues across the Directorate. The role will provide you with lots of opportunity to use your degree experience to enhance academic life at Keele and to influence future University policy. You will assist with a broad range of activities including the preparation of briefing papers, support for key institutional committees and working groups, supporting special projects to improve the student experience and academic endeavour, and supporting key administrative processes in areas including quality assurance, student conduct, academic governance and strategic planning.
You will need to be able to demonstrate strong communication and self-organisation skills, as well as total discretion and professionalism. Experience of providing administrative support is desirable, but not essential, but you will need to be able to demonstrate an ability to solve problems, work proactively and manage competing demands effectively You will have experience of working with and analysing data and a degree in a statistical subject or equivalent is desirable.
