Job Description

We are looking for dynamic, motivated and inspirational individuals with experience of working with young people and a burning desire to help them achieve great things.

Within these roles you will be responsible for the delivery of the Prince’s Trust Team programme. The Prince’s Trust is the UK’s leading youth charity offering 13-30 year olds the opportunity to develop their confidence and overcome barriers to allow them to move forward in their lives. Besides being involved in a variety of training sessions, including residential trips, development and confidence-building projects, you’ll also work with schools, local Colleges, careers officers, employers and youth organisations to recruit more young people into the programmes.

Prince’s Trust Team programme is a 12 week accredited personal development programme for 16-25 year olds. Its primary aim is to build confidence, motivation and skills to help unemployed young people return to education or secure employment. Team is delivered in partnership with organisations such as Fire Services, YMCAs Local Authorities and Colleges.

As part of Cheshire Fire and Rescue Services Youth Engagement Team this is an exciting opportunity to use a wide variety of your skills to reach some of the most disengaged young people in Cheshire. We are looking for an enthusiastic person who is passionate about the benefits of working with young people, with a keen interest in facilitating personal development with challenging young people.

Applicants will need to demonstrate:

The ability to plan, organise and deliver training, both formal and informal sessions and supervise young people during the programme

Good administrative skills

The ability to recruit young people onto programmes

An understanding of Safeguarding policies and procedures

An understanding of the issues facing young people

Being a positive role model and the ability to lead and guide young people to change their attitudes, modify their behaviour and improve their learning

The ability to embed British values and citizenship throughout the programme

Evidence of Partnership working
