Job Description

We want to develop our clinical informatics team by appointing additional clinical Informatics leaders working at each Barts Health hospital site. This is an opportunity for healthcare professionals with proven leadership abilities and a passion for improving health care delivery using digital tools and data science. The current clinical informatics team consists of the chief clinical information officer (CCIO), the Chief Nursing Information Officer (CNIO), the deputy CCIO and four site-based nursing information officers (NIOs).

We will appoint an additional deputy CCIO (2 PAs or one day/week) and four Clinical Informatics Leads (CILs)(1 PA or ½ day/week). The successful applicants will join the Trust informatics team but be site-based with agreed clinical and informatics responsibilities at each of the main hospitals at Barts Health. The key responsibility will be to drive the adoption of the Trust Electronic Health Record (Millennium Powerchart) and support teams to use point of care collected data to drive quality improvement. Working with the nursing information officers will be central to the successful delivery of our vision of developing real world clinical data into a valuable asset for patient care, audit and research.
