Barts Health NHS Trust provides care for the people of North East London. With more than 16000 staff working in five hospitals and many community settings, the Trust is one of the largest in the UK. Many of its services have an international reputation for outcomes, quality and innovation and there is a rich pedigree in research and education.
The Trust has made safe significant progress since 2015 with continual improvements in ratings by the Care Quality Commission and in financial and operational performance. The next step in our ambitious transformation programme is to embed continuous quality improvement systematically throughout the Trust. To this end we have partnered with the Institute of Healthcare Improvement and are now seeking to appoint an outstanding clinical leader to head our Quality Improvement programme.
We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, capable and charismatic senior clinician who will engage with fellow clinicians and multi-disciplinary teams to drive forward our exciting agenda of improvement. The successful candidate may be a doctor, nurse or allied healthcare professional, the essential criteria being a clinical background and a track record of leading Quality Improvement in large and complex clinical environments.
You will report directly to the Chief Medical Officer and work closely with the Chief Nurse, other Trust Executives and the leadership teams in all of the Barts Health Hospitals.
